3. Pricing
Uploading content and becoming a mentor on MentoraJo does not require any upfront fee or participation cost.
MentoraJo reserves the right to introduce platform service fees in the future upon reasonable notice to mentors.
Price Setting
When creating Submitted Content to be made available for purchase on MentoraJo, you will be prompted to select a base price ("Base Price") for your Submitted Content.
For certain types of Submitted Content, the Base Price may be selected from a predefined list of available price tiers. In some cases, you may also choose to offer your Submitted Content for free.
MentoraJo may establish predefined pricing ranges that:
• Vary by university
• Vary by faculty
• Vary by academic category or content type
These pricing ranges are further described in the "Payments, Credits, and Refunds" section of the Terms of Use.
You agree that:
• Your Submitted Content will be listed for sale at no less than the selected Base Price (or the closest local currency equivalent).
• MentoraJo may apply currency conversions where applicable.
• MentoraJo may determine final display pricing in different regions, subject to applicable laws and platform pricing structures.
Promotional and Free Access Rights
You grant MentoraJo permission to:
• Provide free access to your Submitted Content to MentoraJo employees and contractors for internal purposes.
• Share your Submitted Content with selected business partners for promotional or strategic purposes.
• Restore access to users who have previously purchased your Submitted Content.
• Offer limited time free promotional access where deemed necessary for marketing, platform growth, or testing purposes.
You acknowledge and agree that you will not receive compensation for such free access distributions.
Transaction Taxes
If a student purchases a product or service in a jurisdiction that requires MentoraJo to collect and remit:
• National, state, or local sales taxes
• Value-added taxes (VAT)
• Goods and services taxes (GST)
• Or other similar transaction-based taxes
(collectively, "Transaction Taxes"),
MentoraJo will collect and remit such Transaction Taxes to the appropriate tax authorities as required by applicable law.
MentoraJo may, at its discretion:
• Increase the sale price where necessary to account for applicable Transaction Taxes.
• Display tax-inclusive or tax-exclusive pricing depending on jurisdictional requirements.
• Adjust pricing to comply with evolving tax regulations.
Mentors are solely responsible for any income taxes or other personal tax obligations arising from earnings received through MentoraJo.
4. Payments
Revenue Share
When a student purchases your Submitted Content, we calculate the gross amount of the sale as the total amount actually received by MentoraJo from the student ("Gross Amount").
From the Gross Amount, we deduct:
• Transaction Taxes (as defined in the Pricing section), and
• Payment processing fees or third-party checkout fees
The remaining balance constitutes the "Net Amount."
Your revenue share will be 40% of the Net Amount, less any applicable deductions, including but not limited to:
• Student refunds
• Chargebacks
• Payment reversals
• Fraud-related adjustments
MentoraJo reserves the right to modify the revenue share percentage, introduce additional platform service fees, or adjust deductions prior to calculating the Net Amount. In the event of such changes, we will provide at least thirty (30) days' prior notice through prominent means, such as email notification or a notice posted within the Services.
Currency and Conversion
All mentor payments are made in Jordanian Dinars (JOD), regardless of the currency in which the original sale occurred.
MentoraJo:
• Converts foreign currency sales into JOD based on its internal or payment provider exchange rates at the time of processing;
• Is not responsible for foreign currency conversion fees, bank fees, wiring fees, PayPal fees, or any other financial institution charges you may incur.
Your revenue report will display:
• The original sales price (in local currency), and
• Your converted payout amount (in JOD).
Receiving Payments
To receive payments, you must provide valid and accurate payout information, which may include:
• A valid PayPal account;
• A valid bank account; or
• A valid Cliq name or number (for eligible Jordanian residents).
Your payout account must:
• Be in good standing;
• Be associated with accurate identifying information;
• Remain updated with correct contact details.
You agree to provide any documentation or identifying information required for compliance, identity verification, anti-money laundering (AML), or tax purposes.
MentoraJo reserves the right to:
• Withhold payments;
• Delay payouts;
• Offset amounts owed;
• Impose penalties;
if proper identification is not provided or if required for legal, regulatory, or compliance reasons.
You are solely responsible for reporting and paying any income taxes or other tax obligations arising from earnings received through MentoraJo.
Payment Timing and Minimum Threshold
Payments will be issued within forty-five (45) days after the end of the month in which:
• (a) MentoraJo receives payment for the Submitted Content; or
• (b) The relevant content consumption occurs (if applicable under platform models),
provided that the total payable amount meets the minimum payout threshold.
Minimum Payout Threshold
• The minimum payout threshold is the equivalent of $25 JOD.
• If your payable balance is below this threshold, MentoraJo will hold the balance until:
• Your cumulative earnings reach the minimum threshold; or
• The end of the calendar year in which the earnings were generated, whichever occurs first.
Fraud, Legal Violations, and Withholding
MentoraJo reserves the right to withhold or permanently withhold payments if we determine, in our sole discretion, that:
• Fraudulent activity has occurred;
• Intellectual property rights have been violated;
• Laws or regulations have been breached;
• Platform policies have been violated;
• Payment is otherwise prohibited by law.
MentoraJo may offset any outstanding liabilities owed to the platform against future payouts.
5. Refunds
Students may be entitled to refunds as described in the Terms of Use.
You acknowledge and agree that:
• No revenue share will be paid for transactions that are refunded;
• Refunds, chargebacks, or reversals will be deducted from your revenue share.
If a refund is granted after you have already received payment for that transaction, MentoraJo reserves the right to:
1. Deduct the refunded amount from your next payout; or
2. If no future payouts are due (or if payouts are insufficient), require repayment of the refunded amount.
Mentors remain financially responsible for refunded amounts related to their Submitted Content.
